Jazz Services, an organisation for the promotion and well-being of jazz and jazz-related music in the UK, faced a critical cross-roads concerning its future in 2015.
Martin Hummel, a lifetime lover of the music, was invited by the Board to assist them in repositioning the offering and helping to define a new way forward. With a series of immersive sessions involving key stakeholders, the team defined a new way forward.
Built on the 30 year track record of support for jazz musicians across the Country, JazzUK was the new face of Jazz Services. During the first half of 2015, JazzUK developed new partnerships and strands of work to move swiftly in to top gear.
JazzUK was a progressive organisation that united the jazz and wider artistic communities by sharing the power of jazz music to increasingly greater and diverse audiences.
JazzUK’s mission was facilitate those who play jazz to entertain those who love to listen, and to encourage the next generation to fall in love with jazz.
At the end of 2017, JazzUK’s assets were transferred to MusicTank, a unique, non-profit information hub for UK music business.
